Q Pavilion Premiers November 7th & 8th at HD EXPO for Demonstration, Conversation, and Exploration of the Cutting Edge of Entertainment Technology

October 2, 2007 (Burbank, CA) HD EXPO, INC. has announced Q, a ground-breaking, inventive pavilion where entertainment content creators, visionary thinkers, technologists and new products converge for a dynamic exchange of information and ideas.  Q, an invitation only area and event, will be unveiled on November 7 & 8th 2007 during HD EXPO at the Burbank Marriott in Burbank, California.  Q represents Kristin Petrovich’s longstanding commitment and vision for a powerful and energized community of innovators who inspire one another and the industry at large with stimulating viewpoints, products and experiences. Petrovich launched HD EXPO in 2001 as a nascent HD marketplace began to take hold and thrive. 

“We constantly talk about revolutionary ideas and the ways that technology is evolving and changing the way we work.  But there are few opportunities to think more deeply about innovation and change in a multidisciplinary way and even fewer chances to talk in small, intimate groups with thought leaders and key influencers outside of our individual circles. Q participants are interested in the radical changes going on in content creation and delivery as well as withthe impact it has on society and on our industry.  We’ve invited the leaders of our industry, but we have also invited an eclectic and intellectual group of thinkers and creators too.” Technologists, scientists, writers, animators, advertising agency creatives, designers and engineers have been included in Q, giving a wide-angle view of how entertainment technology is part of a larger puzzle.

At the heart of Q are Q Chats, a series of casual conversations with thought provoking personalities, guided by leaders and experts. Q Demonstrations will feature exclusive first or early looks at compelling products and which may prove influential and impact creativity, production and post production.

Petrovich concluded, “Our goal for Q is to find the most interesting and creative people and technologies, put them together in a conducive environment and see where the discussion takes us.”    Announcement of Q participants, conversations and sponsors will be announced October 10, 2007.
